ANKLE SPRAINS

An ankle sprain is a common injury that occurs when the ligaments that support the ankle are stretched or torn. This can happen when the ankle is twisted or turned beyond its normal range of motion, causing damage to the ligaments that attach the bones in the ankle joint.

ACL RUPTURE

ACL ruptures are one of the most feared injuries for a sports person. It generally means a long time off the field and potentially surgery.

ROTATOR CUFF INJURIES

An injury to your shoulder could mean a tear or tendinopathy of your rotator cuff. This can be very restrictive not only in your sporting activities, but normal home duties as well.

SHIN SPLINTS

Shin Splints can occur in various guises but are important to get see to quickly as they can develop into stress fractures

HAMSTRINGS TEAR

A hamstrings tear can put you out of action for weeks or even months. It is extremely important to rehabilitate the injury properly as they have a high incidence of recurrence.

ADDUCTOR STRAIN

Receptive kicking and lateral movement can lead to a strain or tear of the muscles on the inside of your thigh. Often these become chronic during the season as they only seem minor. Proper rehabilitation is important to get you playing to the best of your ability again.

PATELLOFEMORAL PAIN

A sudden increase in training activity or even a holiday where you walk more than normal can lead to anterior knee pain. More commonly seen in females it can hinder your training and playing routines and prevent you from doing simple things like walking up stairs comfortably.

LOW BACK STRESS FRACTURE

A fast bowlers nightmare, it usually means a long time resting and even longer getting stronger to be able to resume bowling again.  Guidance from your physio is very important as doing too much too soon can set you back significantly.

ACHILLES TENDINOPATHY
